Forgive me for I know we are well into 2018, heck 2018 is almost over but it’s been a busy year. For me writing is something that I love to do, it helps me feel creative. However, one thing I have learned recently is that I have to be inspired about a subject to write anything of quality. Right now I feel inspired to write about our travels so here we go…
One of the things we love to do most is travel and I don’t feel like we do it enough. Life and finances get in the way all too often and traveling gets put on the back burner. Vacationing, even if just for a couple of days is like life’s reset button for us. So early in the year we decided that 2018 was going to be the year of travel for us. We sat down, brainstormed and made a plan to travel at least once a quarter. On our list of places to travel this year was San Francisco, Mammoth Lakes, Catalina Island and a yet to be determined destination. Some of the options we had thrown around for the last destination were Northern California (the Redwoods), Arizona (the Grand Canyon) and Oregon (Portland Area). Of and of course Las Vegas would be in there at least once.
The first trip of the year would be San Francisco, followed quickly by Mammoth Lakes. A surprise trip to Ohio came about soon after and then a trip to Vegas. Finally we rounded out the year with a day trip to Catalina Island, an extended weekend driving up Highway 1 to Monterey and one last more trip to Vegas. So needless to say this definitely was the year of travel and boy was it a fun time. Stay tuned for the details!
