Cooking: Taco Cheese Shells

Sometimes you just want a good taco.  Sometimes you can’t have tortillas because you are on the Keto diet.  Sometimes you aren’t on the Keto diet but just love cheese so much that you want your tacos served it a cheese shell.  Cheese shells for life! Here we go….

Ingredients:

  • 3 Cups of the Cheese (we’ve used colby jack, mozzarella and our favorite oaxaca)
  • 1 Tablespoon Taco Seasoning
  • Stainless Steel Taco Holders

These measurements are purely suggestions and I encourage you to add or take away ingredients to meet your preferences.

Step 1:  Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper

Step 2:  Combine shredded cheeses with 1 tablespoon of your favorite taco seasoning

Step 3:  Divide your cheese into 6 equal parts and place the cheese in mounds on your lined baking sheet

Step 4:  Cook at 400 Degrees for about 5 – 7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges are browned

Step 5:  Cool just slightly until you are able to handle the cheese without it falling apart or stretching

Step 6:  Use the taco holder to shape your cheese shell, placing the melted cheese directly on the holder to cool.

Step 7: Fill with your favorite filling, top with cheese, guacamole and sour cream!

Step 8:  Enjoy!
