I came across variations of this recipe here and there, never really liking all of the ingredients that were called for. I decided to use these ideas as an inspiration to create my own dish using ingredients that I had at home.
- 1 Pound Lean Ground Beef
- 1 Small Onion
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 3/4 of a Can Beef Consume
- 4 Brioche Buns
- 4 – 8 Slices of Provolone Cheese
- Seasoned Salt
- Black Pepper
The measurements above are purely suggestions, you can use as much or as little as you like, but this combination is what we have found works best.
Step 1: Dice the onion and bell pepper
Step 2: Saute the onion and bell pepper in the oil until the onion is translucent and the bell pepper is soft
Step 3: Add the ground beef to the onion and bell pepper mixture and cook until the meat is browned
Step 4: Season with seasoned salt and black pepper to taste
Step 5: Add 3/4 cup of beef consume and reduce
Step 6: Place the beef mixture on top of one half of a brioche bun and top with provolone cheese. Place the other half of the brioche bun on top and wrap in foil.
Step 7: Place foil wrapped sandwiches in the oven at 325 Degrees for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Step 8: Enjoy!
