Ugh the dreaded plateau… I knew it would come sooner or later, but I was hoping it would come later rather than sooner! As of writing this I am officially down 58 pounds, 2 pant sizes and a shirt size and boy do I feel wonderful! I have a lot more energy and the other day I went to try on clothes and everything I picked out looked great. I can’t tell you the last time that happened, so that of course was a major win!
Back to the plateau – I’ve had a couple people tell me that because I have lost a significant amount of weight that a plateau is expected to happen around this time. I have to say that I think the medication I was on during our IUI treatment really slowed me down as well. And to be honest, I have cheated here and there. I really couldn’t pass up the Mickey shaped pumpkin spice beignet at Disneyland and while I am telling you my dirty little secrets I couldn’t pass up the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks either. What can I say, I am a sucker for pumpkin spice everything, don’t judge me. 😜
Anyway, I can’t say that it isn’t frustrating but I am trying to stay motivated which for the most part I have. There are days were I want to just throw in the towel, but I have come too far and to be honest, I have become accustomed to the Keto lifestyle. I have decided to try and switch up my meals a bit and incorporate some exercise which for now is walking about two miles per day. I am really hoping that this combination will kick start my weight loss again.
