I came across a recipe similar to this on Facebook and decided I would give it a try but with my own flare to it. It came out delicious and it’s low carb, a win, win in our book!
- 1 Bag of Frozen Broccoli
- 1/2 Block of Cream Cheese
- 1/4 to 1/2 Cup of Sour Cream
- 1 Cup Shredded Colby Jack Cheese
- Garlic Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Onion Powder (to taste)
These measurements are purely suggestions and I encourage you to add or take away ingredients to meet your preferences.
Step 1: Steam the broccoli per the directions on the bag
Step 2: In a bowl combine all the other ingredients, reserving a 1/2 cup of Colby Jack cheese to top the dish with later
Step 3: Add the steamed broccoli to the bowl and mix thoroughly
Step 4: Place the mixture in a lined baking dish and cook at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until warmed through
Step 5: Sprinkle the reserved 1/2 cup of Colby Jack cheese on top of the casserole and place back into the oven until melted and slightly browned.
Step 6: Let cool and serve!
