Weight Loss: One Hundred!

When I started this weight loss journey a little more than a year ago, I thought losing one hundred pounds was impossible.  I told myself that I could never, ever stick to a diet for as long as it would take to lose the weight.  I kept trying to convince myself that the diet was only temporary and that if I sped along the weight loss, I would get to my goal faster which means that I could go back to eating the way I was used to.

This whole thought process was the problem.  See, I lost eighty pounds once before and I got there by starving myself, literally.  The weight came of quickly and then came back on just as quickly when I started eating the way I had before.  Diets are not the solution, but sustainable life styles are.

Sustainable life style is the key here.  You have to find something that works for you that is sustainable for the long term.  You cannot expect to lose weight, then go back to the same bad behaviors and think that the weight is going to stay off because it won’t and that was my problem before.  This time will be different because I am different.

When people try to argue that Keto is not sustainable, they don’t understand that this life style is sustainable.  This is the way people used to eat prior to the age of over processed food.  It has worked for me and so many others.  Bottom line, don’t knock it before you try it.

So here I am one hundred pounds down in one year thanks to Keto and of course my hard work.  So what’s my next goal, well you can read about that here.  I hope to lose another twenty-five pounds, maybe fifty.  We shall see.  Stay tuned!
