We discovered this recipe recently on Facebook, of course we did our own version to fit our preference and it was super yummy and Keto friendly!
Ingredients:
- Pepperoni
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Pasta Sauce (Low Carb if you are making this Keto friendly)
- Your Favorite Pizza Toppings (we used Italian Sausage)
- Ideas: Ham, Salami, Olives, Veggies, Etc.
- Parmesan Cheese (optional)
- Muffin Tin
I did not include measurements as they are dependent upon how many you would like to make, the size of pepperoni you use and what your particular preferences are. I encourage you to play with this recipe and adjust based on what you prefer.
Tip: Balance the salt content of your ingredients, things can get overly salty pretty quickly!
Step 1: Line the muffin cups with pepperoni (I used regular sized pepperoni, put one slice on the bottom and about 4 overlapping around the sides)
Step 2: Add mozzarella cheese to the cups (I used cubes but you can use shredded if you would like)
Step 3: Add a spoonful of pasta sauce on top of the cheese
Step 4: Add your additional toppings on top of the pasta sauce
Step 5: Top with Parmesan Cheese
Step 6: Place in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 – 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted
