So… I fell off the wagon. Yep, it happened. Most of last year I was off and on Keto and while I could blame it on the pandemic and the trauma of three miscarriages which would be mostly true, it was really my own willpower that failed me and for that I take responsibility.
I decided starting the first of this year I would get back on track and take my weight loss seriously… again. I set a goal for myself, to not only diet but to work out as well. I gained back 30 pounds of the weight I lost and I am determined to get rid of that plus some.
Before the first of the year, I got the itch to just get started. I had already been dieting but I had a week off work, which gave me some extra time so I knew it was time to just jump right in. I started by fasting Monday through Friday until 12pm and doing 30 minutes of cardio everyday. Starting the first, I incorporated 20 minutes of weights and about 10-15 minutes of sit-ups (150-300) everyday.
I am proud to say as of writing this, I have been doing this for 18 days straight and have lost 5 pounds!
I ordered this journal to track my progress and I have to say I really like it! I highly suggest it to anyone that wants to set goals and track progress.
To keep myself motivated, I have set small goals to achieve throughout the year which work up to big goals by the end of the year.
Here are some of my goals:
- Lose 20 pounds by the end of February
- Lose an additional 30 pounds by May
- Do 1,000 sit-ups a day by June (I used to do this when I was about 13)
- Run a 10 – 12 minute mile by the end of the year
- Lose an additional 25 pounds by the end of the year and reach my all time goal weight
I am sure I will add or adjust these as time continues, but it is a good start.
Stay tuned for progress updates!
